Discover our ambition  in a few minutes.

The 3 principles of the Summit

In a few words

The POwR Earth Summit is an international event that brings together companies, project leaders and political decision-makers around concrete concerted actions to accelerate the energy transition. It will be held on March 13, 14 and 15 in Paris La Défense at the CNIT, and will feature a series of conferences, exhibitions and meetings. The reflection is based on three keys:

- There is a gap between European objectives and the capacities of the French market.

- The need to build a model that reconciles the development of renewable energy with the interests of biodiversity, agriculture, solidarity and all related actors.

- A lack of global coordination: energy stakeholders do not work together sufficiently (public actors, scientists, energy and climate thinkers, industrialists, project developers, financiers, unions, representatives of the building industry, agriculture, biodiversity).

A space designed for complexity

The event aims to provide operational and controllable answers to the need to accelerate the photovoltaic sector in France. Of course, developing energy resources and capacities requires covering various technical and societal issues. Innovation, industry, logistics: the energy transition requires equipment, infrastructure and heavy investment. It will not happen without specialized companies. The cross-cutting concept of the "energy crisis", between environmental crisis and sovereignty, is at the intersection of many key issues. Moreover, we are all concerned by profound changes in habits, thinking and vision. This is why the event must seek to address as many issues as possible.

An
exceptional location

CNIT Forest Paris

The Centre des Nouvelles Industries et Technologies is one of the most emblematic buildings in La Défense. This unique destination, equipped with state-of-the-art technology that immerses visitors in an underground forest of digital trees, is one of the most eco-responsible venues dedicated to events.

An accessible place
to a wide audience

The CNIT Forest is located in the heart of Europe's largest business district and hosts events in more than 20,000 m² of modular space spread over 4 levels, including 2 amphitheaters with 740 and 1,175 seats respectively, 24 meeting rooms, and 2 multi-purpose spaces of more than 2,000 m². The large hall can accommodate up to 2,000 people in a cocktail configuration. Very easy to access by public transport, the site is 100% accessible to people with reduced mobility.

An eco-responsible place

Because the carbon cost of a building such as the CNIT comes first from its construction, the CSR approach has been attentive to details: conservation of old facilities that can be reused, preference for biosourced materials from short circuits, natural or recycled origin, and from a responsible production chain... The control of energy consumption, thanks to LED sources and the adjustment of power and lighting levels, among others, make this venue an obvious choice for the POwr.Earth Summit.

A place suitable for
new technologies

This architectural landmark will reopen its doors in September 2023 after 8 years of renovation and modernization. Under the elegant and imposing vault of the CNIT, we will have the use of high density wifi, digital signage, low power 4K video projectors, connected tables, video conferencing and streaming devices, in an environment where the acoustics have been worked on thanks to new sound technologies for an immersive effect.

A POwR.Earth Foundation initiative

The Summit is an initiative of the POwR.Earth Foundation, a public interest organization created in 2022 by POwR Group, which aims to initiate, support and finance information and training actions around the energy transition, renewable energies and solar photovoltaics. With the desire to optimize the development of solar energy in France, the POwR.Earth Foundation conducts its activities according to three main missions:

Accelerate

To limit warming to +1.5°C, we need to have reduced our CO2 emissions by 48% by 2030 compared to 2019 levels (IPCC March 2023). In order to meet the 2050 carbon balance objectives, we need to go twice as fast.

Train & inform

Produce knowledge to improve understanding of the needs of solar players, Support the development of research and the training of talent in the industry in partnership with universities and colleges.

Involve

Create workspaces that increase proximity between political decision-makers, manufacturers and actors in the field, trade unions, general public, associations, biodiversity experts, through conferences and physical and online events.
